Its almost close to a year now
I feel more happier than ever
Not once have I felt I was away from home
I came to this country which now I have made my own.
Not by myself
There was always my other half who made me come through
There has not been a day that is gloomy
Ofcourse, there were a few before
But those were ages ago.
Everyday I spend
Never have I felt any hinder.
All the questions in my mind
Have been answered.
I feel stronger than ever.
For this love and joy
That is given to me
Makes me feel alive even more.
I owe so much to this man
For what he has made me today.
I feel so empowered.
For me, he is everything
I love him today
And will forever and ever
Just not because he is my better half
Cause he is my love, friend
And everything I ever wanted
